A chartered aircraft with 81 on board including members of the Brazilian football team Chapecoense, has crashed in Colombia. According to aviation authorities there are atleast six survivors,including the Chapecoense goalkeeper, Alan Ruschel. There were 72 passengers and nine crew on board.

Authorities and rescuers were immediately activated but an air force helicopter had to turn back due to low visibility.The team was scheduled to play a Copa Sudamerica finals match against Atlético Nacional on Wednesday in Medellin.Poor weather conditions made the crash site accessible only by road, airport authorities at Medellin, where the plane was scheduled to land, said on social network Twitter.
