'No Plans to introduce Rs 1000 notes. Focus is on production and supply of Rs 500 and lower denomination notes.,' Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das today tweeted. 

Also addressed the issue of the ongoing cash shortage at ATM's., still more than two months after the introduction of new Rs500 and Rs 2000 notes.

At the moment there are Rs 500 notes at an ATM,people tend to queue up and keep the cash with them even if they don't need it. The fear among general people will take another few weeks. Anand Garollu, India services general manager said.
